TalkingPoint’s PathXchange solution automates the transfer of cases between outsourced pathology providers and client LIMS.
Used by a growing number of NHS pathology departments, PathXchange supports Pathology services that are sending increasing numbers of both dry and wet cases out to third-party reporting providers.

NHS Pathology services are utilising TalkingPoint PathXchange to transfer cases between external pathology reporting services and a variety of LIMS.
This TalkingPoint automation transfers the reports without any manual intervention and performs comprehensive integrity checks to identify mismatches in patient information and to flag up any potential issues for review, saving valuable clinical and administrative time.
PathXchange is both LIMS and third-party provider agnostic and utilises a simple file format for easy interfacing with third party providers.
With quality control inside
The automation incorporates sophisticated data management protocols that perform a series of stringent quality control checks. Reports with any identified errors are then isolated for review. The automation also handles variations in SNOMED codes between reporting provider and client, translating SNOMEDs when the reports are transferred into the recipient LIMS.
